Where We Fly Radio Controlled Airplanes and Sailplanes at two sites in Brattleboro Vermont. Our main Power field is on the capped landfill on Old Ferry Road in Brattleboro. We offer a flight instruction program for new pilots using dual controls (buddybox) radios. We also fly from a field at the Vermont Agricultural Business Education Center (VABEC) on Old Guilford Road adjacent to exit 1 of Interstate 91. |

Who Members must also be members in good standing of the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) before joining the BAF. Membership is open to all ages but we don't recommend power flying for children under 12 years. We also request that young children be accompanied by a responsible adult. |

When We fly mostly weekends and evenings when weather permits. Some of our flyers fly all year round but most of us limit it to April through October. We often meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in season for training sessions but students should make arrangements with their instructor to insure that someone will be available to help them fly. |

Radios Frequencies in local use: When purchasing new radio equipment, we recommend avoiding radio channels already in use in the local area. This gets you more flying and less waiting for somebody who is sharing the same frequency. Also if you have updates for this list, email Webmaster
